Dear Students, Parents and Guardians:
As the 2023-2024 school year comes to a close, I extend my appreciation to all of you for making it a successful one! HPEDSB schools focused on building early reading skills, mathematics skills and credit accumulation to ensure a strong and successful future for our students. The initial data is promising and I look forward to sharing the results of this work in detail in the fall! These results will build on our prior success of an increased graduation rate, increased Grade 6 EQAO math results and increased EQAO Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test success.
We are very proud of the overall effort and success of HPEDSB students! My thanks to the HPEDSB staff for making this success possible. Through their hard work and dedication, students are flourishing. The opportunities and support in schools truly make the difference, as does the support from families at home. Families, thank you for your continued partnership with schools to ensure the best possible results for your children.
As we look ahead to the 2024-2025 school year, we remain focused on reading, math and credit accumulation, especially for students who have not yet experienced the success they would like. We will also be working on a new strategic plan which will articulate our vision for HPEDSB learners to ensure they are prepared for their future.
Congratulations to our 2024 graduates—we are proud of you! I wish you continued success in your chosen next steps.
