On Thursday, June 27, 2024, two HPEDSB teachers were presented with coaching awards by the Central Ontario Secondary Schools Association (COSSA).
Sadie Stewart, a Physical Education teacher, coach and athletic Director at Central Hastings School won the women's Bev Goulding Coaching Award for her significant contributions to COSSA (Kawartha and Bay of Quinte) athletics. The award was presented by Bill Thompson.
Jeff McDougall, teacher and coach at Trenton High School, was awarded the men's Bev Goulding Coaching Award. His award was presented by Tara Feeney.
