Board Meeting Update #103.
This update provides a summary of the special public meeting of Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board held Monday, January 20, 2014 at the Education Centre. It is an unofficial summary of the meeting; official minutes will be approved at the next regular meeting in January 2014.
Recommendations
Board members approved the appointment of Mark Fisher as Superintendent of School Climate & Student Well-being Services for the period January 2014 to June 2015, with possible extensions. He is taking the place of Colleen DeMille who is currently in that role. DeMille has accepted a secondment to the Ministry of Education.
Fisher has been recognized for his ability to build collaborative relationships, to develop and implement strategic plans, and to effectively communicate organizational goals to all stakeholders. He is known as a reflective educator who strives to help students and employees achieve their full potential by challenging and supporting them in their learning and professional journeys.
