York River Public School and North Hastings High School will be closed to students on Monday, April 22 due to severe flooding in Bancroft. This decision has been made in cooperation and coordination with municipal and other officials, and is in the interest of student and public safety. As of now, we can confirm that student transportation to other HPEDSB North Hastings schools will run as usual.

Buildings will be open to staff, who can report to work as usual. If staff have questions regarding this situation, they should contact their supervisor.

School and school board officials are in ongoing contact with municipal and other officials. The situation is being monitored day-by-day. Decisions about student attendance at school beyond Monday, April 22 will be made on a daily basis and will be communicated as soon as they are known.

Updates will be posted here, communicated through Twitter (@HPEDSBschools) and on radio stations.

If you have any questions or concerns about your child's attendance at school, please contact the school principal.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
