Students from Moira SS partner with Gleaners Food Bank

For the fourth year in a row, students at Moira Secondary School are partner with Gleaners Food Bank by planting seeds for an organic gardens.

Grade 11 Biology students planted and will take care of various seedlings which will go to the outdoor gardens at Gleaners.

This community partnership is a win-win situation for both Gleaners and Moira. Students learn more about the genetics of heirloom seeds while Gleaners is provided with a loving location to raise young tomato, celery, basil, pepper and various other plants.

When asked, students were very pleased with their planting efforts and their contribution to this community project.
