Ministry of Education memo & Ontario Labour Relations Board ruling about the ETFO protest, Friday, January 11, 2013
This morning all Chairs and Directors of Education in English public school boards received notification that the Ontario Labour Relations Board (OLRB) ruled that the province-wide elementary teachers' one-day political protest planned for Friday, January 11, 2013 was in violation of the Ontario Labour Relations Act.
The Ministry of Education has asked school districts to share this information with employees, parents and students. The Deputy Minister's letter and OLRB decision are below.
