Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board is excited about the facility renewal advancements being made to create outstanding learning environments at two new elementary schools.

STIRLING PUBLIC SCHOOL
The school will not be open for the first day of school. Construction is still underway. Students will go to the Primary and Junior schools on the first day of school.

- Construction is still underway. It is expected to continue for several weeks.
- During the week of August 26, the school administrators and secretaries will be at the Junior school to accept new registrations and meet with parents and interested staff, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- On Tuesday, September 3, the first day of school, all students will go the the Primary and Junior schools until the new school is ready. Students in Kindergarten to Grade 2 (one class: 2DH) will go to the Primary school, 40 Church Street, Stirling. Three classes of Grade 2s (2C, 2LC, and 2S ) students in Grades 3 to 8 will go to the Junior school, 84 Church Street, Stirling.
- Students who are bused to school will be dropped off and picked up at the Primary and Junior schools.
- The school day will begin at 9:20 a.m. and end at 3:40 p.m.
- The move-in date to the new Stirling Public School will be communicated once it is known. Advance notice will be provided in order for families and employees to know what to expect and when.

TWEED ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
The school will be open for the first day of school.

- Classrooms will be ready for students although some work on the building will continue.
- During the week of August 26, the school administrators and secretaries will be at S.H. Connor School, 165 Pomeroy Avenue, Tweed, to accept new registrations and meet with parents and interested staff, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- On Tuesday, September 3, the first day of school, all students will go the the new Tweed Elementary School, 57 McClellan Street, Tweed.
- The school day will begin at 9:15 a.m. and end at 3:35 p.m.
