Each spring school boards are required to establish a school year calendar for the upcoming school year, in accordance with the Education Act and Regulation 304. In establishing its annual calendar, it is the practice of Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board to consult with parents/guardians, students, community members and community partners.
The draft calendar proposes the following:
- First day of school for students: Tuesday, September 2, 2014
- Christmas Break: Monday, December 22, 2014 to Friday, January 2, 2015
- Mid-winter Break: Monday, March 16, 2015 to Friday, March 20, 2015
- Six professional activity (PA) days:
- Friday, September 26, 2014
- Monday, October 27, 2014
- Friday, November 28, 2014
- Friday, January 30, 2015
- Friday, May 22, 2015
- Friday, June 26, 2015
- Last day of the school year: Friday, June 26, 2015
