Susanna Moodie Elementary School will be hosting an evening for parents and guardians to gain a better understanding of teaching and learning in today's math classrooms.

EVENT DETAILS
DATE: Wednesday, October 16
TIME: 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.
LOCATION: Susanna Moodie Elementary School, 376 Avonlough Road, Belleville

Making Sense of Math for Parents was made possible through a Parents Reaching Out (PRO) grant from the Ministry of Education. The keynote speaker, Dr. Lynda Colgan, Queens University Associate Professor and Outreach Centre Co-ordinator, will be helping parents to understand what is happening in math classes today and why.

Three workshops have also been developed to explore problem solving in the math class, how to support math learning at home and math instruction at the high school level.
