Earth Hour: we’ll be turning off lights for one hour on Friday, March 28, 2014
Posted on 03/28/2014

Our schools and offices will participate in Earth Hour on Friday, March 28, 2014, one day early, by turning off non-emergency lights for one hour.

Earth Hour uses the simple action of turning off lights for one hour to deliver a powerful message about the need for action on global warming.

Participating in Earth Hour is one way to demonstrate our environmental commitment.

Internationally, Earth Hour will be celebrated Saturday, March 29, 2014. It is expected that millions of people around the world will switch lights off.

At Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board, our students and employees are committed to modelling Growing with Character and promoting healthy schools and workplaces, through responsible environmental stewardship of employees, students and community partners.
