On October 29, 2013, students and staff at College Street Public School welcomed a group of educators from Jiangsu, China who are in Canada on a study tour. The educators have spent time in Toronto visiting schools and engaging in professional development, and visited CSPS on their way to Montreal.
The group consisted of principals, as well as the Deputy Director, and Manager of International Programs at the Jiangsu Education Services for International Exchange (JESIE).
The visitors enjoyed seeing College Street PS students learning in their classrooms, and were particularly interested in the restorative practices approach used at the school.
In addition to meeting students, the guests also spoke with the administrators and teachers about the Ontario curriculum, school improvement planning, and instructional practices.
