A partnership between the Ontario Secondary School Teachers' Federation and Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board will bring Wab Kinew to our community on Thursday, May 1, 2014.

BACKGROUND ON GUEST SPEAKER WAB KINEW

Wab Kinew is a well known musician, educator, journalist and broadcaster.

He is known to many FNMI teachers as the narrator of the critically acclaimed documentary, 8th Fire.

Mr. Kinew also provided the introduction to OSSTF's Common Threads teacher resource, Full Circle: First Nations, Metis, Inuit Ways of Knowing. He is being featured as this year's Kevin Manion Memorial Lecture Series guest speaker.
