Posted on 09/03/2014

Each month, school newsletters include a one-page insert called Home-School Connections (pdf file). It describes ways in which families can enhance student learning at home in the areas of literacy; numeracy; healthy, caring schools and improving student learning.

This month's Home-School Connections features:

  • Literacy: fun and easy ways to make literacy part of your family's daily life.
  • Numeracy: ways to talk about math at home to strengthen mathematical reasoning and understanding.
  • Healthy, caring schools: Terry Fox National School Run Day.
  • Improving student learning: ideas to help children develop learning skills and work habits, such as responsibility, organization, independent work, collaboration, initiative and self regulation.
