Each month, school newsletters include a one-page insert called Home-School Connections. It describes ways in which families can enhance student learning at home in the areas of literacy; numeracy; healthy, caring schools and improving student learning.

This month's Home-School Connections (pdf file) features:

  • Literacy: how to support your child's reading in Grades 4 - 6.
  • Numeracy: the "mathies' website with ideas for games, learning tools and activities.
  • Healthy, caring schools: good food, daily physical activity and a healthy environment that supports learning and growth are vital to helping students reach their full potential.
  • Improving student learning: ideas to help children develop learning skills and work habits, such as responsibility, organization, independent work, collaboration, initiative and self regulation.
