About this event

Unlike the more traditional parenting approach that focuses on avoiding risk and managing the negative behaviours of children, Dr. Hammond will outline a strengths-based parenting approach that will strengthen a child's ability to meet life's challenges with thoughtfulness, confidence, purpose and empathy. While the journey of each child is shaped by a number of factors, this presentation will explore some critical guideposts and ideas that will help parents embrace the strengths-based approach.
