HPE Public Health offering special COVID-19 vaccination clinics for students age 12-17
Posted on 05/26/2021

This information is shared on behalf of Hastings Prince Edward Public Health.

The province has made a commitment to offer first and second doses of COVID-19 vaccine to eligible youth before the end of the summer. To ensure eligible youth have access to vaccines as soon as possible, Hastings Prince Edward Public Health (HPEPH) will be holding special youth clinics over the next two weeks. These clinics will offer the Pfizer vaccine, which is currently the only COVID-19 vaccine that has been authorized by Health Canada for use in individuals age 12 and older.

Book an appointment at special youth vaccination clinics

To get vaccinated as soon as possible, eligible students are invited to book an appointment at the HPEPH special youth clinics taking place from May 31 to June 12, 2021. Please note students need to be 12 years of age at the time of the appointment.

To book an appointment, please visit canadaehs.com/hpepublichealth/students.

If you are unable to book online, please contact HPEPH at 613-966-5500 from 8:30 AM-4:30 PM and follow prompts for the COVID-19 vaccination call centre.

Why is vaccination so important?

Infection prevention protocols have ensured the potential of COVID-19 transmission in the school setting has remained low in Hastings County and Prince Edward County. Ensuring the vaccine is available to eligible youth will further reduce potential risk for everyone in a school setting. All eligible students are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity for vaccination to help keep schools and community as safe as possible.
