October 26, 2021—The HPEDSB Board of Trustees, headed by Chair Lucille Kyle, issued a letter on September 28, 2021 to Minister of Education Stephen Lecce, Minister of Health Christine Elliott, and Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Kieran Moore, requesting the province consider mandating COVID-19 vaccination for eligible students by including it on the list of reportable vaccinations required under the Immunization of School Pupils Act.
