How can we improve HPEDSB? We invite you to share your thoughts

With the start of the new year comes an opportunity to be part of shaping the future of Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board.

We are creating a new strategic plan and are committed to getting better at serving students. An important part of our planning involves hearing from our families, students, employees and community members about how we can improve and build confidence with you. letter to parents/guardians, community and elders (Pdf)

We want to hear from you about how we can improve Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board. That's why we're inviting you to participate in our Thoughtexchange. It's an online crowdsourcing forum where you can share your ideas, and read about and rate the thoughts of others. The premise is to seek and accept everyone's thoughts about what we want HPEDSB to be, how we can improve and be the public education choice in our communities.

Using Thoughtexchange, you can share your thoughts and suggestions, building on the ideas of others. Thoughtexchange is anonymous and includes thousands of voices in the conversation, not just a handful. All thoughts and ratings are public but your identity remains private.

The brief introductory video (.mov) includes stories from our students and a message from Lucille Kyle, Chair of the Board, so be sure to watch it.

As you reflect on your interactions with HPEDSB, please consider this question: What are the most important things we can do as a public education system to improve and build confidence with you? when you input ideas.

We invite employees, students, families and the community to be part of this movement and opportunity to share your thoughts and experiences to improve Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board.
