Each month, school newsletters include a one-page insert called Home-School Connections. It describes ways in which families can enhance student learning at home in the areas of literacy; numeracy; healthy, caring schools and improving student learning.

and concert halls in your area. Such experiences help children develop:

- Caring, Inclusive Citizens
- Students who are caring, inclusive citizens demonstrate strong character in all they say and do by showing empathy and expressing genuine concern for self, others and the environment.
- Discuss with your child:
- What does the graphic in the center mean to you?
- What some ways are that you can demonstrate respect toward others?
- How are you already demonstrating social awareness (understanding and responding to the needs of others)?
