The Algonquin Inodewiziwin Ontario Early Years Child and Family Centre will begin offering culturally sensitive programming and services at Maynooth Public School in April 2018. An official opening ceremony will be held in June 2018.

The launch of the facility is a joint venture between the Algonquin Nation Kijicho Manito Madaouskarini, Hastings County, HPEDSB and North Hastings Children's Services. The center will promote the Algonquin language and culture as well as support the rebuilding of relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people through trust, understanding and respect.

This EarlyON Centre will offer an innovative, two-part program, sharing Algonquin culture and language paired with providing programming to support children 0-6 and their families. The hours of operation will be 8:30 a.m. -4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, with weekend services offered at North Hastings Children Centre.
