Kudos to Quinte Secondary School, $3,200 for 30-Hour Famine

Quinte Secondary School students participated in the 30-Hour Famine and raised a total of $3,200 for World Vision and Haiti relief efforts.

60 students participated in the 30-Hour Famine, in which students do not eat regular meals for 30 hours to simulate a day in the life of a hungry child. The Famine ran from June 11 to 12, 2010.

Students stayed the night at the school and collected donations for the cause. Donations were also collected through the Entrepreneur Class "Business Fair," which raised $150 through the sale of student-made products.

Congratulations to all participants and staff volunteers who helped make a difference in the lives of others.
