Queen Elizabeth PS students take over Glanmore House for a day

30 students from the Grade 7/8 Student Leadership Program at Queen Elizabeth Public School visited Glanmore House, the Bridge Street museum for an orientation session on Thursday, March 2, 2017 in preparation for Takeover Day. Takeover Day started in the United Kingdom where young students take over the operations of an organization for a day.

Hosting this public event is a great volunteering opportunities for the students in the Student Leadership class to learn, share and engage with others at the Glanmore National Historic Site. Some of their responsibilities will include greeting visitors, giving guided tours and showcasing their own projects, such as displays, videos and social media.

Students will run the facility on Saturday, March 4, 2017 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Admission is free.
