As employees, learners and leaders in Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board, and as included in the 2015-2020 Strategic Plan, we strive to create welcoming, inclusive, safe and accepting learning environments that optimize students' potential. We also work together to deliver positive social and emotional learning experiences.

World Down Syndrome Day is recognized around the world on March 21 each year. It has been observed by the United Nations since 2012. The date is significant as the 21 day of the 3 month was selected to signify the uniqueness of the triplication (trisomy) of the 21 chromosome which causes Down syndrome.
