November 3, 2017 — November 6-10, 2017 is recognized as Treaties Recognition Week in Ontario. It is a time to reflect on the provincial commitment to work with Indigenous partners, and to promote public awareness about treaties and treaty relationships.
The 2015-2020 Strategic Plan identifies Achieving Excellence & Equity, Learning & Leadership, Public Confidence and Well-Being as priorities. At HPEDSB, schools are integrating Indigenous traditions, histories and perspectives into teaching and learning in order to increase knowledge and awareness among all students and employees.
