Each month, school newsletters include a one-page insert called Home-School Connections. It describes ways in which families can enhance student learning at home in the areas of literacy; numeracy; healthy, caring schools and improving student learning.

This month's Home-School Connections (pdf file) features:

  • Literacy: LITERATE CITIZENS - Students who are effective literate learners use the skills of thinking, expressing and reflecting to listen, speak, read and write.
  • Numeracy: Numeracy skills promote the development of logical thinking and reasoning strategies. Numerate students are able to competently apply mathematics in everyday life. NUMERATE CITIZENS - Globally Minded Learners and Leaders.
  • Healthy, Caring Schools: April is Oral Health Month! There will be free dental clinics in Belleville, Quinte West, Picton and Tweed for children 0-17 years old.
  • Improving Student Learning: LD@home offers free resources for parents, students and families with learning disabilities.
