An upcoming event will connect school board personnel with educators, counsellors, mental health workers and community agencies on this topic.

Participants will be involved in workshops about applying learning initiatives, self-regulation techniques and recognizing the importance of relationships.

This event is the annual conference of the Ontario Association of Counselling and Attendance Services (OACAS). It is sponsored by HPEDSB, Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board and the Ministry of Education.

OACAS is a provincial association that is the primary source of professional support and guidance for attendance counsellors. HPEDSB and OACAS actively partner with students, families, communities and organizations to build engaging environments that contribute to the social-emotional well-being of every student.
