Students in the Environmental Club at Prince Edward Collegiate Institute are holding an electronics waste fundraiser. This event will be a fundraiser for Loyalist Humane Society, and provides a safe way for community members to dispose of electronics.
DATE: Saturday, April 5, 2014
LOCATION: Back of Prince Edward Collegiate Institute, 41 Barker Street, Picton
TIME: 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Community members are invited to drop off unwanted, outdated or broken electronics waste for free. All proceeds will go to the Loyalist Humane Society.
Examples of electronic waste items
- Display devices, such as monitors and televisions
- Desktop computers
- Portable computers
- Computer peripherals
- Printing, copying and multifunction devices
- Telephones and telephone answering machines
- Cellular devices and pagers
- Home theatre systems, such as equalizers, amplifiers, speakers, tuners and turntables
- Aftermarket vehicle, audio and video devices
- Image, audio and video devices for home use, non-portable
- Image, audio and video devices for personal use, portable
