Quinte SS students prepare for Manufacturing Skills Competition

Students in the Manufacturing program at Quinte Secondary School are getting ready to show their expertise later this week as they prepare for the Manufacturing Skills Competition.

DATE: Friday, April 12, 2013
LOCATION: Quinte Secondary School, 45 College Street West, Belleville

Seven students will participate in a qualifying competition for welding. Another five students will participate in the precision machining qualifying competition. The top two from welding will qualify to compete at the regional competition at St. Lawrence College in Kingston on Saturday, April 20. The winner of that competition will qualify to compete at the provincial competition in May in Waterloo. The precision machining winner will qualify to go directly to Waterloo for the provincials.

Students from three school boards and eight schools have been invited to participate.
